Emergency Services Chaplaincy Training Course News

We are awesomely excited to announce that the we now have office space in which to run our training courses.

Please pray for our latest group of candidates going through the Emergency Services Chaplaincy Course which starts today.

It is the very first training course to be held in our new offices at the Edenvale Fire Station.

Please uphold them all in prayer as many are travelling a long distance to do the course.

Chaplaincy Annual General Report-back Meeting

The Emergency Chaplaincy of Southern Africa held their AGRM at the Gereformeerde Kerk in Wierdapark, Tshwane on the 19th July 2014.

It was a very blessed day, with our guest speaker Frank Meulenbeld, a founder member of ESC SA bringing a very inspirational word in season on Excellence in Ministry.

Our MD Rodney Berry brought a great word at the last minute as he stood in for our President David Niebuhr took ill and was not able to be present on the day.

Sr Lucy Verbeek from the Gauteng Cornea and Eye Bank discussed the sensitive issue of organ donation.

Also present on the day was Chaplain Hans Blunk, the director of ESC Africa.

The delegates broke away for training sessions for different leader groups which set the platform for next year.

The following long service awards were presented :

  • 5 year awards went to : Soekie Rousouw, Sarel Jansen Van Vuuren, Paul Hattingh, Louis & Maria Hamann, Rapahel Nzuza and Frans Meyer
  • 10 year awards went to : Hans Blunk, Darren Flood, Calvin Till, Ruth McKenzie, Kerry Wetton, and Ben Van Staden
  • 15 year certificates were awarded to : Gerta Coetzee, David Niebuhr and Jannie Viljoen

A big thank you to the Tshwane team for all the organizing and great meal.

We look forward to a blessed 2014/15.
